Programme released for the Norman Singh one day Horserace meet

The Norman Singh Memorial Turf Club in collaboration with Winners Circle Pool Hall and Jumbo Jet Auto sales has released a programme for their one day horserace meet set for Sunday 1st April at the club’s entity No6 village West Coast, Berbice.
According to race Coordinator Romel Jagroop, nine races are carded for the day and over $8.5M in cash and trophies are up for grabs.
The feature event is for horses classified B and lower over a distance of 1400M and a first prize of $1.5M.
The other events include the race for three year old horses Born and Bred in Guyana and West Indies for a winning purse of $600,000 and trophy.  The race for 4 year old horses bred and born in Guyana and the West Indies will see the winner taking home a top prize of $500,000.
There is the E and Lower event for a winner’s money also of $500,000.  The three year old race for Guyana Bred and Born horses has a top prize of $400,000.    The G class gallop also fetches winning money of $400,000.
A race for H class horses is on the cards and will see the competitors racing for $300,000 first prize.
The I3 and lower class animals will race for the winning money of $200,000. The final race is for Division 1, 2 and 3 animals which has a first prize taking set at $150,000.
The top individual performers including top Jockey and stable will receive accolades compliments of Trophy Stall Bourda Market.
